Schools and kura can order face masks for use by their staff and students at no cost to them.
Mask supply
We are supplying masks to schools and kura for use by their staff and also for students whose families find it difficult to provide masks for them. Both adult-sized masks (for staff and for students Years 8 and above) and child-sized masks (for students Years 4-7) are available to order.
You can order up to 50 masks per student per term (roughly one mask per day). There are currently no limits on the number of adult-sized masks you can order for staff.
If you order a large number of masks to cover both Term 3 and 4, you will receive an initial delivery for Term 3 and then a later one for Term 4. This is to ensure enough masks are available for everyone in Term 3.
Please be aware that deliveries will not be made over school holidays as staff may not be onsite to receive the orders. Instead they will be delivered at the start of the next term.
If you have have not received your masks a fortnight after ordering, or if you have a high number of students with health needs who require more than one mask a day, please contact us at: askus.procurement@education.govt.nz
